Schedule a Speaker
The NLOCF Speakers’ Bureau Community Outreach Program is designed to educate women in our area about the common symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer. Trained speakers are available to speak at churches, synagogues, civic meetings and other venues.
Our Medical School Project: Survivors Teaching Medical Students is designed to educate medical students, nursing students and other health care professional to become more sensitive to the symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer.
During these speaking engagements, we emphasize the importance of early detection and the steps to take in getting proper diagnosis and treatment. These one hour presentations, adaptable to the needs and interests of each particular audience, generally consist of brief testimonials by trained members of the Speakers Bureau describing their personal experience with ovarian cancer and the opportunity for questions and answers.
To book a speaker please contact NLOCF board member, Cindi Routman, firstname.lastname@example.org.
